Wanna know a secret?
Speaking well isn't reserved for those that are 'born with it', have a theatre degree or are extroverts. Nope. The ability to own your words, your voice and your presence are available to anyone. It just takes work.
Spoken Arts (also known as Speech and Drama, Elocution, Oratory, Rhetoric, and Oral Interpretation, among others) has been regarded as a critical discipline for thousands of years in Western civilization. Yet, we don’t seem to value it in our educational systems, beyond “give a speech”, “do a book report”, “join the debate club” or “do a digital presentation”. We value it, yes: but we don’t teach it.
But I do.
Over the past 25 years, I have developed and honed my craft, innovating and creating both with and for people - those who want to find their own unique voices, and those who want to bring another voice to the table (mine!). It is definitely not a 'one size fits all' approach.
Using literature, creative storytelling and impromptu speaking, current research and old-school elocution techniques, I help those I work with realise their spoken potential - and, as a speaker myself, I employ these same tools to bring my passion and messages to others.
Working from my private home studio, you can be assured of discretion and privacy. And if you want to shout about your learning from the rooftops (or Instagram!), then that's ok, too.
One thing you'll be 100% sure of every time you work with me: You get my best as I strive to help you achieve your best.
